Brazil launches anti-dumping sunset review on passenger tires in Thailand and Taiwan

On November 22, 2019, the Brazilian Ministry of Economic Affairs issued Announcement No. 63 of 2019, stating that at the application of the Brazilian Tire Industry Association (Associação Nacional da Indústria de Pneumáticos), the Brazilian Ministry of Economy, Passenger car tires (Portuguese: pneus novos radiais paraônibus ou caminhão) in Thailand launched the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation. The tax code of the Southern Communities of the product involved is 4011.20.90. The dumping investigation period in this case is from April 2018 to March 2019, and the damage investigation period is from April 2014 to March 2019.

On June 10, 2013, Brazil launched an anti-dumping investigation on passenger car tires originating in Taiwan, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Russia and Thailand. On November 24, 2014, Brazil made a positive final ruling on anti-dumping in the case.
