Thanksgiving Day (Thanksgiving Day), a traditional western holiday, is a holiday created by the American people, but also a holiday for American families to get together. 

In the beginning, there was no fixed date for Thanksgiving. It wasn't until 1863, after independence, that President Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a national holiday. 

In 1941, congress officially designated the fourth Thursday of November as Thanksgiving Day. 

The Thanksgiving holiday usually lasts from Thursday to Sunday.

In 1879, the Canadian parliament proclaimed November 6 a National Day of Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving. 

In later years, the date of Thanksgiving changed many times until January 31, 1957, when the Canadian parliament proclaimed the second Monday in October as Thanksgiving Day.
